I had the pleasure of having Rani and Shashank at Ruck Sack Tours arrange our climbing expedition to Bhagirathi 2 and 3 in the Gangotri Himal in the summer of 2015. Over the past four decades of expedition climbing I've had the opportunity to work with many expedition and trekking outfitters throughout the mountain ranges of the world and I can easily say that Ruck Sack Tours is among the finest.

The first is a genuine friendship and a love for what the outfitter does and shares with their clients. The second is the ability to efficiently organize and quickly and seemingly effortlessly adapt to an often complicated trip with variables in weather, transportation and other logistics. And the third is they must have the experience, contacts and local knowledge that is essential to get the best choice of transportation, food, lodging and personnel support at the fairest cost. Rani and Shashank exceeded my expectations across the board and the enjoyment and success of our trip was largely due to their friendship, expertise and many years of personal experience in the high mountains of India.
